Holiday season is right around the corner.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas.  After labor day, there are only 3 more Canton First Monday Trade Days weekends.  Here are 7 reasons to get your holiday shopping done early.

1) You Get First Pick 

Make out your gift and holiday shopping list now and get started.  Chances are good that you’ll be able to find everything on it in the next couple of months simply because you’ll have more options available.  Thursdays and Fridays are the less crowded days at Canton First Monday Trade Days and the vendors’ wares are less picked over.  So, if you are looking for that one specific item, be sure to show up early on one of those two days for best selection. 

2) Less Stress and Anxiety

We’ve all been in that fraught position of having to get that last minute gift for someone special and not being able to find what we’re looking for despite visiting numerous different stores.  This year, instead of hopelessly running around from store to store praying to find that last precious item on your list, be that person that has it wrapped up and underneath the tree.  The holidays can be stressful enough as they are. The holidays are really supposed to be about spending time with family and loved ones:  cooking, eating, reminiscing, sitting in front of cozy fires with some egg nog.  The easiest way to do that is to make sure shopping isn’t the main thing on your mind during this busy season.  Check shopping off your holiday to-do list early and you have more less-stressed quality time to spend with those you care the most about. 

5) Less Weather Woes

Texas isn’t really know for harsh winters, but few people want to be out when the weather is bitter.  If you start your holiday shopping in September or October, that gives you a chance to be out in nicer weather.   And with a good portion of Canton First Monday Trade Days being outside, you will get to enjoy your shopping experience a lot more if the weather is wonderful. 

6) Wrapping Made Easy 

Well, we don't have a tip on making the wrapping itself easy, but buying your gifts early means that you can get them wrapped early.  And that can be easier. Wrapping gifts is not everyone’s favorite thing to do, but wrapping early means that it, too, can be less worrisome.  Why not enjoy that aspect of giving as well?

And finally, maybe one of the best reasons to get your shopping started and done early is that you get to avoid all those other stressed-to-the-max people that waited to the last minute to do their holiday gift shopping.
